Princes Highway upgrade – NSW South Coast

We’re building a safer Princes Highway.

We are delivering safer and more reliable journeys on the NSW South Coast by progressing upgrades to the Princes Highway.

The Australian and NSW governments have recently committed $1.96 billon in funding to the Princes Highway corridor.

We're moving ahead with planning and delivering of projects between Nowra and the Victorian border, including:

  • Nowra bypass
  • Jervis Bay Road and Princes Highway intersection upgrade (major construction under way)
  • Jervis Bay Road to Sussex Inlet Road upgrade
  • Milton Ulladulla bypass
  • Moruya bypass
  • Targeted safety improvements between Nowra and Moruya
  • Narooma Bridge.

Major work on Jervis Bay Road intersection upgrade now under way

Major work is now under way on Jervis Bay Road intersection upgrade.

This project will deliver a grade-separated flyover-style intersection, providing an overpass across the Princes Highway, with a roundabout on each side of Jervis Bay Road to deliver safer and smoother connections.

The project will be delivered by contractor SRG Global Civil Pty Ltd and is expected to take up to four years to complete, weather permitting.
